Abstract
Respiratory rate (microCT) measurement in mice
For the scanning procedure, anestethize the animals with isoflurane (5% induction phase, 1% maintenance). Set the air flow to 0.8l/min.
Define parameters for image acquisition (field of view: 73 mm, acquisition time: 2 min, current voltage:70 mV, and amperage:200 uA).
Determine respiration frequency using microCT measurements acquired with Quantum FX imaging system (Perkin Elmer. 940 Winter St. Waltham, Massachusetts. EEUU).
