Abstract
This protocol contains the instruction for modelling insulin resistance in iPSC-derived neurons by depriving the cells of insulin overnight followed by a 30 minutes insulin treatment the following day.
The media is removed from the cells
Cells are washed 1x with PBS
Fresh media is added the cells supplemented with B27 without insulin (Thermofisher A1895601).

Cells are left back in the incubator DurationOvernight at Temperature37 °C and 5% CO2

18h
The following day, insulin was added to the media at either Concentration100 nanomolar (nM) , Concentration250 nanomolar (nM) or Concentration1 micromolar (µM) for Duration00:30:00
