Abstract
This protocol is used to test mice in the Fear Conditioning behavioural test.
Materials
Fear Conditioning apparatus
On day 1, confirm that EthoVision is set up properly for a 6-minute test (with 3 tone-shock pairings of a 30-second tone co-terminated with a 2-second foot shock).

Place mice into the Fear Conditioning apparatus and start the testing.

Once testing is complete, return mice to their home cage overnight.

On day 2, confirm that EthoVision is set up properly for a 6-minute test (no tone or foot shock).

Place mice into the Fear Conditioning apparatus and start the testing.

Once testing is complete, return mice to their home cage overnight.

On day 3, confirm that EthoVision is set up properly for a 6-minute test (with 3 minutes of no tone/shock, then 3 minutes repeating the 30-second tone without a foot shock). Confirm that the room has a novel scent, noise, and Fear Conditioning apparatus).
