Abstract
After reviewing the medical literature, we defined objective criteria to indicate intensive care monitoring after total knee arthroplasty. These criteria were adopted in January 2020 and since then none of the 80 patients who underwent total knee arthroplasty at the Pedro Ernesto University Hospital and who met the criteria required intensive care monitoring.
