Guidelines
SOB medium
- 1.0% Bacto-tryptone
- 0.5% Bacto-yeast extract
- 10.0 mM NaCl
- 2.5 mM KCl
- 10.0 mM MgCl2
- 10.0 mM MgSO4
Prepare the MgCl2 and MgSO4 as 1 M stock solutions and autoclave separately.
Add the MgCl2 and MgSO4 after sterilization of the remainder of the components.
